I wrote my first computer program when I was seven years old.

My parents had just bought their first computer (a Texas Instruments 99/4A) and they figured they better send my older brother and me to the community college to learn how to make it do something.

Ever since that first BASIC class, I've been teaching myself new languages and techniques. In junior high, I ran an online bulletin-board system and spent many hours hacking the source code.

Starting in high school, I was the lead programmer and technical designer on several game titles, developing tools and engines for DOS, Windows, Mac, Unix, and PlayStation. This included inventing a unique programming language and also creating a patented image processing system to automatically rotoscope filmed actors into cartoon characters.

My current interests in computer science include artificial intelligence, interface design, compression, and cryptography.
